This is one of my favorite movie kisses of all time.
As beautifully filmed as this scene is, I love that it’s a little sloppy and haphazard, as if the camera has glimpsed a very real private moment. John Gilbert was at least partially the inspiration behind Jean Dujardin’s character in The Artist. I highly recommend both The Artist and Bardelys.
