Today I looked into working on my job’s WordPress blog. The interface is similar enough to Tumblr (though a bit over-complicated), but I’m starting to wonder what the point of it will be. We already have a Facebook page, and I was hoping that creating a following for the blog might drive more traffic there or to the store, but apparently there isn’t the same social aspect as Tumblr, with a follow/dashboard newsfeed feature ( ? according to a co-worker). If you can’t attract a loyal following, how is it different from any other website? It will be nice to integrate the blog with Facebook and Twitter, however.
